`According to the change of domestic postal rates on September 1, 1997, the Ministry of Information and Communication is issuing four new definitive postage stamps for priority mail. The first is for 340 won, the basic rate for pieces of priority mail weighing less than 25g, another is for 380 won, the basic rate for pieces of priority mail weighing less than 50g, another is for 1,340 won, the basic rate for registered priority mail weighing less than 25g, and the last is for 1,380 won for registered priority mail weighing less than 50g. Priority mail service was begun of October 1, 1994, to satisfy the growing demand for speedier mail delivery. Domestic mail is classified into Priority mail and Non-priority mail depending on delivery time. the Priority mail is delivered within the very next day after it is posted, while the Non-priority mail is delivered within the fourth day. Priority mail service is available anywhere in the country. It is faster and more convenient than the previous special mail service is available at more reasonable rates.
