`The Ministry of Communications is issuing this year a series of postage stamps featuring Korean-made automobiles. The aim of this decision is, on the one hand, to congratulate our auto indusdiversify on its rapid growth and, on the other, to diversify the design of our postage stamps to suit the taste of philatelists at home and abroad. The series will be issued in five installments, featuring small-sized, medium-sized, large-sized and specially-equipped automobiles, in that order. The first of the installments, now being issued, features Hyundai`s Pony 2 and Keohwa`s Jeep. Daewoo`s Maepsy and Kia`s Bongo coach, Asia`s highway bus and Kia`s Titan truck (2.5 tons), Hyndai`s cargo truck (11 tons) and Daewoo`s dump truck (10.5 tons), and Dong-A`s mixer truck and tank lorry will follow in the second, third, fourth and fifth of the series respectively. 1. Passenger Car The Pony 2, a five-door car made by Hyundai, is designed to have the features of both a passenger car and a station wagon so as to satisfy the diversified living style of the 80`s. 2. Jeep This deluxe jeep, made by Keohwa, is a nineseat model equipped with a 2, 775-cc and 85 hp diesel engine. It is designed as a multi-purpose vehicle that can be used for business, leisure, industrial transportation, stock-farming, etc.`
