`The Ministry Comminications issues the sixth of the special stamp series that features the types of fish inhabiting in the waters and the coast of the Korean peninsula.The fifth series was issued in 1990. 1. Microphysogobio longidorsalis. The fish lives in the areas of Dae-Dong , Han and Kum Rivers of the Korea peninsula. The fish is an herbivore: it usually likes diatoms and green algae living under the sand or pebbles in clear water. It has a rather big dorsal fin relative to its size. The fish is blueish brown on the lower back and has an indistinct dark belt in the center. 2. Gnathopogon majimae. Found in the rivers and streams of the southwestern and the southern Korea,this fish inhabits in shallow part of ponds or swamps. It spawns around May-June on water plants. Its head is rather small and its barbel is short that it almost looks like a little bump. The fish is about 10cm in length (about 4 in.) and has a slim and long shape. The color is dark in the dorsal area but it is closed to white in the abdominal area. 3. Therapon oxyrhchuns The fish is founded in the central coastal area and in the streams in the lower half of the Korean peninsula. It is distributed as far as the South China Sea as well. Its length is about 30cm(1 ft.) and has four dark gray lines on the sides. The fish has a shape of an elongated elipse. Its color is grayish blue however, tone is lighter in the abdomen. 4. Psettina ijimae Usually found in the waters around 100m(333ft.)in depth, the fish ilves in the southern costal area of Korea. Its body is an elongated ellipse in shape and its eyes are on the left side of the body. Its overall color is brown. And, it has a dark circular mark in its body.`
