Detail
`1991 was indeed a memorable year for all Koreans who are proud of the long lasting history and culture of five millenium and yet suffering from a temporary division of the nation. Joining the United Nations simultaneously, both north and south of Korea took a step forward to the peaceful reunification. Also, joint-teams in ping-pong and soccer games gave a hopeful sentiment for the future. All these events make us smiling when we look back at this year of lamb. It is the time now to evalute this passing year, calming the exitement from the breakdown of communism and the rising hope for the reunification. In maturity and abundant memories brought by fingering this year`s letters, we promise meeting the others with the season`s greetings full of hope for the next year. Bidding a farewell to the year of lamb which has given a great expertation for the future not only to the Koreans but also to the people all over the world, we issue these season`s greetings stamps with the designs of ``The Picture of Longevity`` and of ``Kite-flying`` so as they may trasport the hope that the year of monkey will bring more prosperity through orderly reforms.`
