Located along the magnificent mountains of lush green foliage in the southern provinces, this expressway stretches from Gochang, a village of celebrated cultural heritage, such as Seonunsa Temple and Dolmen Site, to Damyang, a renowned tourist site offering the beautiful Metasequoia Tree Road and Juknokwon.
Iksan-Pohang Expressway, which is currently in construction, connects between Iksan of Jeollabuk-do and Pohang of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Built in a rugged mountainous area, this road offers a kaleidoscopic view of nature. It also passes through Maisan Mountain of Jinan, which is nicknamed the mystery of Korea. When the expressway is fully opened, it will activate exchange between the Yeongnam and Honam regions.
Dangjin-Yeongdeok Expressway extends from Dangjin of Chungcheongnam-do to Yeongdeok of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Connecting the two provinces of Chungcheong-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do, this road runs across the Korean Peninsula from east to west. Exhibiting the magnificent sceneries of the mountainous area that exudes different charms by season, this expressway attracts tourists to the remote areas of Cheongsong where Juwangsan Mountain is located and Yeongdeok, the home of snow crabs, in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
