Detail
2018 is the year of the dog, man s best friend. In particular, it is the year of `Musul.` `Mu` in Musul means yellow among the Yin-yang and five elements of the universe, and `Sul` means a dog. Thus, 2018 is the `year of the goldenyellow dog.` Dogs have been by the sides of humans dating back to 9500 B.C. according to records. Dogs have heightened senses of hearing and smell. In addition, with a keen sense of sight, they can see well in the dark. However, dogs are not very good at distinguishing colors. With no sweat glands on the skin, dogs control their body temperature through breathing. Dogs were originally carnivorous animals with strong and sharp teeth. However, while they were raised as domestic animals, they turned to omnivorous and, as a result, their digestive organs, such as the stomach, are similar to those of herbivorous animals. With strong homing instincts and loyalty to their masters, dogs can be trained to perform various roles, such as military dogs and hunting dogs. Most of all, dogs have a great ability to express and share their feelings. They mainly express feelings through barking and wagging of their tails. When happy, the tail or even the entire bottom is wagged horizontally. When sad, the tail is lowered. Dogs express their affection to humans by licking the hands or face. Lying down on its back to show the belly is a sign of submission. Dogs can share a range of emotions with humans, and thus can bring positive effects to the psychological treatment of patients or emotional development of young children. The New Year`s stamps for 2018 contain the designs of lovable dogs, our best friends and family members, to deliver wishes for the upcoming year to be filled with peace and happiness. Start 2018 with warm and happy news delivered by dogs, which have been with us through all the joys and sorrows of life.
