The Korea Post is issuing a commemorative stamp series featuring Seoul as the first city, depicting the day and night scenes of Korea. br br Located in the western center of the Korean Peninsula, Seoul served as the capital of Baekje for about 500 years and then of Joseon for another 500 years. It has since taken position as the capital of the Republic of Korea, continuing its history to this day. br br Seoul is a city of culture and history with urban green spaces as well as waterfront spaces.
