Detail
The Skywalk, a viewing facility that makes you feel like you`re walking in the sky, is becoming a popular tourist attraction in the Republic of Korea. This commemorative stamp introduces two Skywalks where you can experience breathtaking scenery. Br br
The Mancheonha Skywalk, located on a cliff above the Namhangang River, is a skywalk in Danyang-gun, renowned for its beautiful scenery known as the `Eight Views of Danyang.` Its name, meaning a place to view the entire world, reflects the breathtaking vistas of Sobaeksan Mountain and the Namhangang River, as well as the panoramic view of Danyang town. The horseshoe-shaped Manhakcheonbong Observatory features a transparent glass floor, 15 meters long and 2 meters wide, designed in the shape of three fingers. From here, visitors can look down at the Namhangang River flowing 100 meters below and experience the thrill of walking on the edge of a cliff. Mancheonha Theme Park offers various thrilling activities, including a monorail that comfortably takes visitors to the observatory entrance while enjoying the surrounding landscapes of Danyang, and the exhilarating Alpine Coaster that races down with the refreshing wind, making it a popular destination. The Dojjaebigol Sky Valley, located between Donghae Mukho Lighthouse and Wolso Residential Area, is a tourist attraction that not only offers the beautiful scenery of Dojjaebigol but also features various experiential facilities. `Dojjaebi` is a dialect term for `dokkaebi` (goblin), and it`s said that when it rained on dark nights, people saw blue lights, which they called `dokkaebi fire,` thus naming the place Dojjaebigol. At Dojjaebigol Sky Valley, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of the vast East Sea from a thrilling height of 59 meters above sea level. The main viewing points have transparent glass floors, giving visitors the exhilarating feeling of walking in the sky. Additionally, the site offers exciting facilities such as the Sky Cycle, a bicycle ride along a cable wire in the air, and the Giant Slide, a cylindrical slide about 27 meters high that offers an adventurous descent. The commemorative stamps feature aerial views of two stunning skywalks with breathtaking landscapes. These skywalks offer beauty in all four seasons, making them perfect places to create cherished memories with family, friends, and loved ones. br br
