The issue of low birth rates in South Korea has become an unavoidable societal challenge, often referred to alongside the term “population cliff.” According to the 2024 announcement by Statistics Korea, the total fertility rate slightly rose to 0.75. Considering the continuous decline since 2015, this small increase can be interpreted as a glimmer of hope. It appears that the overall social atmosphere, which has come to appreciate the value of new life again, is beginning to be reflected in the statistics, alongside various efforts by the government and businesses such as expanding childcare support and providing economic assistance. br br This stamp, capturing a mother’s warm gaze, conveys moments of joy experienced while raising a baby. It features scenes such as a peacefully sleeping baby, a baby curiously lifting its bottom high as it gazes at the upside-down world, a loyal stuffed animal companion always by its side, a proud moment of grasping a fork with tiny toes while eating fruit, and a playful baby holding a toy in its mouth even during bath time. br br The joy a baby brings is one of life’s most precious gifts. Simply by existing, babies awaken in us love, responsibility, and a renewed sense of purpose.
