Cremastra appendiculata (D. Don) Makino
This perennial plant growing in the forests of Korea`s southern areas grows to 30 to 50 centimeters in height. It usually has one oval-shaped leaf that is 20 to 30 centimeters long. The pale greenish brown flowers of this wild orchid with a tint of reddish color bloom from May to June. The flowers dangle drooping downward. The oval-shaped fruits in capsule shape blossom from July to August.
Cymbidium lancifolium Hook
This is a perennial growing under the evergreen trees of Jeju Island. It resembles bamboo trees and thus earned the name of Jukbaek, meaning bamboos. The plant has one to three leaves that are 20 to 30 centimeters long and two to three centimeters wide. The stalk of the flower is 10 to 15 centimeters long. Two to four blossoms of light greenish flowers bloom from June to July.
Orchis graminifolia (Reichb.fil.) Tang et Wang
This wild orchid is a perennial that grows between damp rocks in the central areas of Korea. The plant reaches 8 to 15 centimeters high. The leaf forms in the shape of a fan with sharply pointed ends, usually two to four in number. The length of the leaf is 7 to 12 centimeters long and three to eight millimeters wide. The reddish purple flowers bloom from June to August, usually with several blossoms concentrated in one area.
Bulbophyllum drymoglossum Maximowicz
This perennial growing in the southern islands of Korea takes root above trees or rocks. The thin stalk stretching horizontally has sparse leaves, which are thick, oval-shaped, 5 to 12 millimeters long and 5 to 10 millimeters wide.
