`The 64th F.I.C.C International Camping& Caravanning Rally will take place in the beautiful harbor city of Donghae, Gangwon Province, famed for its spectacular sunrise, from May 16 to May 27, 2002 under the theme of ``Interface of human being, culture and nature.`` The nternational Camping& Caravanning Rally first started on June 4, 1993 when 390 campers from seven nations gathered in Great Britain for a camping rally that included the use of tents, campig vehicles (auto campers and caravans) and cabin house. The 64th rally Korea that aims to advance cultural exchange on a private sector level and to promote F.I.C.C`s ideals of humanitarianism and peace for mankind, will offer various programs for campers from 40 FICC member nations around the globe including culture and art festivals, folk experiences, tours, camping and a world environmental forum, among many others. Through such activities, the participants will be able to experience firsthand the nature, society and culture of Korea. Furthermore, it will serve as a valuable opportunity for all participants to recognize the importance of finding measures to improve the relationship between humans and the natural environment, world peace, mutual understanding and the coexistence. In particular, F.I.C.C.`s world peace rally that transcends the barriers of national borders, race, languages and culture, will be marked as an occasion to wish for the peaceful reunification of Korea, the world`s only divided nation. The successful hosting of the rally will provide the momentum for furthering the development of environment-friendly and family-oriented new leisure culture. It is also hoped that the rally will be an opportunity to promote the enduring culture, natural scenery and the generosity of the Korean people throughout the world.`
