The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty has the added significance of being factual and highly reliable in that the record was zealously guarded. The Annals published for the previous king were made in four copies and stored in special repositories in Jeongjok, Teabaek, Jeoksang and Odea Mountans. The surviving 2,077 books of the Annals have been designated as National Treasure No. 151 and placed under the custody of the Gyujanggak Liberary Archives of Seoul National University and the Government Archives and Records Service. `
