`In order to motivate students to be creative and engage in inventing activities, the Korean government is opening the `93 Korean Student Invention Exhibition. This event will allow the government to seek and nurture ``future Inventors`` that will spearhead field of advanced science in the 21st cenyury.
This exhibition is scheduled to open for 20 days at the Korean Exhibition Center(KOEX) between May 27th and June 15th. A tour of the major cities of Pusan, Kwangju, Taegu and Taejon will follow.
Nowadas, competition in technical fields is fierce and nation is recognizing the necessity to develop technologies and to implement supportive measures. The only way that Korea, which is poor in natural resources, can join the rank of creative and technical skills and human resources is a task that requires immediate attention.
The Ministry of Communications issues this postage stamp with hopes that this exhibition will underline the significance of student inventions to the public, and that may ``Future Inventors`` will emerge and carry on the creative spirit of our ancestors which is illustrated in wordly renown inventions like the Kobukson(Tutle Ship), Ch`uckugi(the measure for rainfall), and the metal printing type.
We eagerly await the day Korea will be known as ``the nation of Inventions```
