Detail
`On November 1, 1990, the government takes a census of the population and housing through the country. Although it is recorded that censuses were taken as long go as in the period of Three Hahn Statesit was in 1925 that the first census in the modern sense of the word was taken in our country, and our nation has since been censused every five years.
In order to be able to formulate proper and effective national policies, the government needs to have an accurate and up-to-date knowledge of the size and structure of the population, and the housing situation. This year`s census will provide the basic data on the statistical changes that have occurred since 1985, and the data will especially be of invaluable use for the establishment of the 7th economic and social plan, the success of which will put our country onto the level of the advanced countries of the world.
The Ministry of Communications issues this postage stamp in order to make the significance of the census widely known and thus bring about voluntary cooperation of the nation for the successful achievement of the purpose of this census.`
