`In the currency of today`s world which the protection of natural environment is emphasized more than ever, the Ministry of Communications issues the 3rd part of the series with the wild flower living in here and there of our country.
1. Commelina Communis L.
This annual plant is used as the seasoned vegetables for its sprout and as the medicine for its glass. Its flower blooms from June to September, with two stamens and one stam.
2. Lycbnis wilfordii(Regal) Maxim.
We can find this flower bloomed in a bright color on the yard of a little deep mountain, of the middle and the northern region of Korean Penisula. Because of its appearance seems like a swallow`s tail, it is called the violet. It likes the humidity.
3. calantbe striata R.Br.
This plant is founded in the southern region of Mt. Hallasan of within 600m of sealevel and the region of South-West Islands.
It blooms form the end of April to the later part of May. The petals are big just with the similar fragrance like an acacia, a lilac and a flower of chestnut tree. The petal is worthful for us to see because of its magnificence and greatness. But, it has the deficit of an undivercified specie and the monotonous color.
4. Lycoris Radiata Herb.
In the southern fields and mountains of Korean Peninsula, it shows us 5-7 blossoms of red flowers in the mid of September. The flower is made of slender 6 pieces of petals, 6 red stamens inside of which are very impressive and beautiful with its feature got bent like a bow. This is a rhyzome plant with the poison in the root used as a medicine. `
