Detail
`The Ministry of Communications of Republic of Korea has issued the postage stamp of music series which is full of Korean feeling. In this 8th time, for the real progress in the mutual exchange of homeland visiting team as the successful result of the 7th South-North Premir Council and the endeavour to participate in the development of the Tuman River, we issue the postage stamp of ``Guriun Keumkangsan(Longing for the Mt. Keumkang)`` sung very much after the South- North Korea Red Cross Conference and ``Guinoi(A Swing)`` full of a national felling, putting our aspiration towards the unificaion of the Korean Peninsula into these songs. 1.``Gurium Keumkangsan(Longing for the Mt. Keumkang)`` Lyrics by Han, Sang-ok and Music by Choi Young-sharp. This song which shows the mind of the poet loving the mountains and the rivers of our country and the composer to direct towards the nationalistic music, is the one of nine songs of the chorus ``Arumdaun Naikangsan(Oh, Beaufiful My Land)`` accomplished in 1962 at the request of KBS(Korean Broadcasting System). After the live broadcasting in October of the same year by the KBS, it has sung very much by our people and became the means to show our will to be one country. 2. ``Guinoi(A Swing)`` Lyrics by Kim, Mal-bong and Music by Geum, Su-hyeon. This song which is accomplished in the connection of the lyric like to see one piece of painting which depicts the feature of playing a swing and the consistence nationalism of composer to want to use the Han-Geul(Korean Alphabet) for our name than the Chinese Character, is very popular because of the construction of melody like the Korean folk song and the simple accomplishment. As we issue the postage stamp which depicts the Diamond Mt. Keum Kang likely to be seen when we go upward with the boarding of a swing, we hope the consistent praying of world people for the unification of the Korean Peninsula.`
