`The Ministry of Communications has been issuing a series of postage stamps featuring sea and freshwater fish living in and around Korea. The following is the fourth set of the series, the third of which was issuesd in 1987.
1. Oplegnathus fasciatus
This fish, the special feature of which is its dispropotionally long length from bottom to back, is found off the southern coast of Korea, the entire coast of Japan and the southern coast of China.
2. Cobitis mulifasciata
This fish, nimble of movement, indigenous to Korea and living between the pebbles under clean shallow water, spawning in June, is distributed in the estuary of the Nakdong River, southern Korea.
3. Liobagrus mediadiposalis
Distributed in the rivers and streams of southern Korea, this species lives between the pebbles under clean flowing water, spawning May to June.
4. Monocentris japonicus
This fish, living in shoals under the sea and glowing at night, is distributed off the southern coast of Korea. It is also found in the seans near the philippines and South Africa.`
