`President and Mrs. Abdou Diouf of the Republic of Senegal make a state visit to Korea for four days, July 9-12, 1984 at the invitation of President Chun Doo Hwan.
Senegal is a country located in the west of Africa, with an area of 196,720㎢ and a population of six million, about 90 percent of it Moslems.
Senegal and Korea have maintained ever improving relations economically and culturally since 1962 when the formal diplomatic relations were first established between the two countries.
During the visit, President Abdou Diouf and President Chun will have summit talks and exchange their views on matters of mutual interest.
The Ministry of Communications issues this stamp as a token of the heartfelt welcome our nation extends to President and Mrs. Abdou Diouf.`
