Detail
`Blood donation is the most precious and affectionate expression of our humanity because one is sharing one`s life with one in need and is also considered the precious means of protecting not only one`s own family member but also one`s neighbors in the event of possible unfortunate happenings.
In our country, the law enacted on October 1975 has ensured the Blood Deposit System to enable the blood donors to regain their blood for their own need. As a result of this system, The ratio of blood collected by the donors has risen to 80% in the year of 1978, whereas in the year of 1975 only 30% was collected. Also, we can forecast that by the early of 1980`s the percentage shall certainly show 100%.
Blood donation has a great meaning itself merely in purifying one`s blood as well as protecting the invalid by assuring pure and clean blood for medical treatment, and also in purifying our spiritual mind by helping one another.
In celebration of the 4th year of the Blood Deposit System, and as an effort to encourage and advise importance of blood donation nationwide, the Ministry of Communications is issuing the definitive postage stamp for the blood donation.`
