`The value of a postage stamp comes not only from the fact that it is a receipt for fees for mail delivery. It is often a representation of a nation`s culture and social life. Like other forms of art, describes most effectively many aspects of the nation`s history and economic development. What a philatelist gains through its collection is great, and the issuance of new postage stamps is an effective way of making the changes in history known people. To encourage stamp collection as a sound hobby among people, the Ministry of Communications designated six days form October 30 through November 4, 1979, as the Seventh Philatelic Week. A National exhibition of postage stamps is scheduled to be held during the period. Also, the Ministry is issuing a special postage stamp for philatelic week with a child`s painting entitled ``The Moon Travel`` as its design. This is to satisfy the request of philatelic collectors and foster the children`s dream on the occasion of the International Year of the Child. This painting is by Park Chung-jae (formery 2nd grade of Sadang Elementary School, Seoul: presently 2nd grade of Namsa Elementary School, Seoul) which was selected as one of the 10 most excellent works out of 860 entries form 86 different countries participated in the World children`s Painting Contest, under the theme of ‘My Life in the year of 2,000` sponsored by UNESCO(United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The manner of representing the astronauts in the space vehicle rocketing to the moon is excellent. The key words the painter himself had to say in an interview were: ``A trip to the moon has been my cherished dream and I would need a beautiful girl for company during the flight.```
