Detail
`Now, we are on the threshold of the year of 1978, which is the year of horse, or the year of Muo, according to the Oriental zodiac. We are to greet the New Year full of hopes and joy after passing another eventful year.
As the year-end approaches, we busy ourselves preparing for the new year, getting somewhat emotional and meditative over the year that is about to pass by. About this time of year. We visit our relatives and friends to wish them a happy new year, and enjoy hearty reunion with family members back at our native towns and villages. We also offer prayers to our deceased ancestors
It is indeed a traditional and admirable custom to exchange card of New Year`s greetings with those whom we have not met or corresponded with very often during the past year.
Hoping that all the people of Korea will once again renew their sense of being good neighbors and warm-hearted friends on this occasion of greeting the new year that is dawning, at the same time wishing them the best of luck and success, the Ministry of Communications is issuing these two kinds of postage stamps.`
