`World Vision of Korea meets the 20th anniversary of its founding in 1973. World Vision, International is a humanitarian Christian service organization located in California, U.S.A. It was established in 1950 and is presently channeling support for the underprivileged children all over the world extending emergency relief of all kinds in crises situations. World Vision of Korea was founded on May 20, 1953 and has been helping orphans and widows the Korean War brought about besides caring for lepers and handicapped children throughout Korea. World Vision of Korea is still supporting 18,106 children in 182 orphanages in Korea. World Vision Children`s Choir was organized in August, 1960 and had six concert tours overseas through which they captured the hearts of their audiences including Presidents, Kings and Queens throughout the world and have been contributing to promote Korea`s beauty and art abroad being popularly called as ``The Singing Little Angels`` or ``The Little Ambassadors.`` Spreading the devoted service of World Vision of Korea for the splendid child welfare programs to the nation and abroad, and paying a high tribute to the social and cultural contribution of World Vision Children`s Choir which has been helping needy children of the world through charity performances, the Ministry of Communications is issuing this commemorative postage stamp in memory of the Korean War in 1950 as World Vision of Korea is an organization which was founded after the Korean War.`
