Detail
`Expo 67, Montreal, Canada, one of the world`s big events in 1967, will be held in Montreal, Canada, from April 28 to October 27, with the theme ``Man and His World.``
The World fair that will attract the world`s attention and interest, will occupy the largest exhibition area ever in history and will be participated in by more than 70 nations across the world.
The participating nations will build hundred-odd national pavilions and will competitively show off their country`s progress in science, industrial technology and cultural arts, along with the colorful display of traditional folk arts.
This will serve not only to demonstrate the growing power of the individual nation but also to demonstrate the great capability of the mankind as a whole. The world fair will enable us to have a good look at what have been achieved by man as creator and producer through his long history, inspiring greater ambitions and hopes for the better world.
Our country will build Korea House, a separate pavilion in a unique Korean building style, on a 377 pyong site with the theme ``Man and His Hand`` and will display various cultural and traditional art items along with the manufactured goods, so as to impress the world with the new picture of Korea that, with a proud timehonored history, is rapidly advancing toward industrially modernized country.`
