Detail
`The long-waited 19th Olympiad will lift its curtain on October 12, 1968 in Mexico City, Mexico.
It is expected to be the greatest, most magnificent one with 7,226 players and 3,274 staffers attended from 119 countries who will vie in 19 different games.
Republic of Korea has sent a delegation of 76 persons, including 41 male and 14 female players, for 10 events: boxing, weightlifting, wrestling, cycling, swimming, track, male basketball, female volleyball, shooting, and marathon race.
We are convinced that our delegation will show off a new image of Kora to the world through sports.
Hoping that our players will demonstrate their physical strength and beauty to the utmost for their motherland, the Ministry of Communications issues commemorative postage stamps to mark the 19th Olympic Games.`
