`This postage stamp valued 4 won is issued on 10 October 1962, for the commemoration of the 10th Indo, Pacific Fishery Council held in Seoul. The Indo, Pacific Fishery Council is attached to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the Economic Social Council of United Nations. The I.P.F.C. is dedicated to the development of fishery industry in the coastal areas of Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean as well as to help promote closer cooperation in exchanging technical know how of fishery industry and useful informations available for the mutual benifit of the member countries.
These member countries are 17 at present, namely, Australia, Burma, Cambodia, Ceylon, Malay, France, India, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Netherland, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, England, U.S.A. and Vietnam.`
